Flightwatch Systems signs strategic partnership

9/1/2009 2:30:05 PM

Flightwatch Systems signs strategic partnership agreement with long-time affiliate: digital-X. The company announced today that digital-X, a Sunnyvale, California based leader in network design and systems support capabilities, as well as extensive business process outsourcing expertise in both onshore and offshore delivery models, which has been providing project management services to Flightwatch since 2002, has partnered to develop and deliver agile, end-to-end aviation management productivity solutions online

Through the alliance, Flightwatch and digital-X intend to offer general and business aviation, corporate flight departments and government and military fleet operations management its entire suite of productivity products in a Software as a Services (SaaS) model. The alliance will also apply for GSA certification. The intended result will be increased innovation and automation, through cloud computing, at the small aviation business level as well as feature-rich, low-cost software for larger fleet operators, civilian, military and government flight departments and value added services for commercial users, travel portals and systems integrators.

The combination of digital-X’s leadership in serving enterprise IT and network design and Flightwatch’s quarter century experience in aviation operation management software, make this a perfect partnership. The vast resources of digital-X, coupled with the deep industry expertise of Flightwatch will enable the company to bring new, end-to-end products to market faster, which will complement its sophisticated suite of existing productivity software.
